Ed O'Brien started his career with New York Life in 1983, after graduating from Virginia Wesleyan College with a degree in Humanities and Liberal Arts. He is still in the insurance business and currently a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table and Top of the Table. Ed serves the Hampton Roads Area as a licensed insurance agent for over 25 years, constantly striving to provide his clients with straightforward knowledge of the ever-changing insurance market.

Ed has completed the Owner/President Management Program (OPM) at Harvard Business School Executive Education in April 2008 and is a member of NAIFA, Chairman's Council Agent since 2000 and President's Advisory Council for Virginia Wesleyan College 2007.

Mr. O'Brien's business experience includes fringe benefit planning, estate planning, and financial planning for individuals as well as corporations. In 2001, he acquired an interest for real estate and created a business. He has since developed small tracts of land as well as converted urban warehouses into living areas, loft apartments, and commercial spaces to help revitalize downtown areas that have previously been in disrepair. Ed is also a founder and CEO of Montero Home Health Care, which provides in-home health care to the elderly.
