Advertising Research Manager, Pilot Media
Mike started his career in advertising on the creative side of things working for a number of years in an animation studio and then on to agency work as an art director. When he saw that folks in suits made more money he switched to the account side of the business.
After about a dozen years as a media director buying nearly 40 markets and being on the receiving end of thousands of presentations, he came over to the newspaper industry in 1995 where he is currently the Advertising Research Manager of The Virginian-Pilot.
He is a past president of the Research Federation of the Newspaper Association of America and past president of the Hampton Roads Ad Club.
